How to Date a Brown Girl (Black Girl, White Girl, or Halfie)

I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts and other audio content lately. There is some surprising stuff out therelike the Naropa’s Archive I mentioned in my last post.

And pretty recently I think, the New Yorker started making a podcast. The first episode I heard was with a short story from Junot Diaz: How to Date a Brown Girl (Black Girl, White Girl, or Halfie); the same short story I had selected as the final reading assignment for my BA Discussion Group. I first heard about the story from the Laila Lalami Blog.

Not only does the New Yorker podcast include Diaz reading his story, but there is a discussion between author Edwidge Danticat and New Yorker editor, Deborah Treisman about the story.
